Last weekend, I set my trusty PVR to record an episode of the CBS hit show "Elementary" that aired after the Superbowl. Well it turns out my PVR is not quite as ingenious as I had originally thought. 40 minutes in the show ended, leaving me dangling over the edge of the proverbial cliff. So I scrambled upstairs to my trustworthy computer, near instantaneously jumped to the CBS website and prepared to find out how my dear television show ended.....
and then it happened...."Content not available in your area"...!!!! What the "insert exclamative" does this mean? Does Ladner have an online exclusion I was unaware of? Turns out my "area" is in fact Canada. The whole country can not watch a tv show online that I can watch on my television? I can gamble online, watch people die, break bones, shoot each other, have "marital relations", and whatever else my mind can think of.... but I can't watch network television???? I go now to find out a) who's policy is this (guessing CRTC) b) what is the best work around to bypass this super annoying issue..
If you know a simple way to bypass this annoyance, feel free to share it in the comments sections or via email.
